I backed two runners in this race: 3 Karimabad(fav.) and 11 Sir Walter.
Karimabad was injured at the barriers and was subsequently scratched and Sir Walter was just beaten for 3rd place.
However, I have nothing but congratulations for the stewards who made the correct decision and scratched Karimabad even though it was a well-fancied favourite.
Job well done and restores faith in an industry currently reeling from one crisis to another. By protecting punters' interests the officials have ensured the betting public will wager confidently into the future.
As per my adage: "when in doubt....take them out!"
