I think these work better when you use them on Class 6 and higher races. The weekday horses in the Maidens and C1 just don't have enough information around them for proper analysis.

I also think quite a few of the factors are extras that don't really make any headway towards selecting a winner. If you cancelled them out the selection would still be the same..And there must be a subjective factor in giving ordinal figures (the points each, say Jockey gets) for some of the factors.

I have used it to rank average prize money winners effectively by clicking everything down to zero except the $ one.

Trying to make prices out of the points is also difficult. Someone ages ago thought there was a close correspondence with the Tim factor and if you made a book at 100% the prices you reach are quite similar to the actuals. But I've never verified that.
