Wade Hadley reported that the average penetrometer reading for the track (Deloraine) is 2.85, which makes it hard. Recent water restrictions and an inadequate irrigation system kept the reading low.

Has anyone heard of a penetrometer reading lower than 2.85?

It was reported later in the day that the penetrometer reading was as low as 1.50 at one part at the track.
