Had a bit of a look at this yesterday, luckily still on paper.

Ipsw - Out 700 Return 402.20
M'Bdge - Out 600 Return 721.90
Canb - Out 500 Return 227.00
------------------------------
Total - Out 1800 Return 1351.10

Out of 18 races only 11 winners were from IAS top 4 (and 3 of them returned a slight loss after dutching with S'Tab). I do believe this is well below the average s/rate for IAS, so maybe it was an unusual bad day.
Anyway I may cautiously just look at their strike rate for a while before getting too excited.
And maybe match with WI6 and the ProPun free ratings for Saturdays at least.

I am currently looking at a method with the top 4 and yes I think yesterday was a low SR day. The way I am doing it is only betting races where one or more of my lay selections is in the top 4, in a way to remove some of the selections to bet. So far so good from Monday to Wednesday, and currently sitting up around 10 units so far today.

Thanks for the pointer there enjay, most helpful, of course there can be a difference in the actual pre post quotes so most important that one always uses the same source!

For the record : From metro racings (including Ascot) for Sat 10 Apr
Winners ranking positions from IAS was 27 winners from 41 races = 65.8%.
(from WI6 was 21 from 41 = 51.2% - but WI6 had 11 top raters win as opposed to IAS only had 7 top raters won).

The difference must be when you only bet when the fixed price (from anywhere) is at least 20% greater than the opening quote (top 4) in theory you have to win long term........... (er, don't you?)

Hi,
have you got the return on that strike rate?
Because the actual first four in the market have a much higher strike rate.
Just interested.
Thanks

on level stakes win bets - using S'Tab divs
IAS rankings - outlay (41 races x $1) = $164- return $122.30
WI6 rankings - outlay $164 - return $119.90.
