Thumbs up The Improvers Betting System ...

Here is another betting system worth looking at.

Here are the rules:

1. The horse is third up from a spell/break of 2 months or more.

2. It has not won either of its first two runs.

3. Its second up run must be no more than 4 weeks after its first up run and its third up run must be no more than 4 weeks after its second up run.

4. Its second up run must also have a higher weight rating than its first up run. In most cases this is obvious. Eg. the horse was beaten 5 lengths first up and then in similar class was beaten just by one length second up.

5. The horse must be beaten by no more than 2 lengths second up.

That's it.

Again, when we operated a paid ratings and tipping service, each week I selected some of these horses to give to our members with pretty good results.

Thanks again Harvester.

Your stats are very interesting.

I forgot to mention the system is only used in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane races.

A punter who was betting professionally used this method successfully and introduced me to it more than 20 years ago. I went to the races with him and saw the wagers and the results. Of course the selections were vetted with some eliminated.

As I posted, when we operated a paid ratings and tipping service for about 10 years I gave some of these selections each week with solid results.

I forgot to include in the rules above to ensure we're not on horses with little chance, that the horse should be in the first 5 lines of the Saturday morning prepost betting.

I've used the Saturday Herald Sun for odds.

Here are the selections and results for Saturday, 7th. May.

Flemington
9/7 Inishowen 1st. $6.30, TF $6.50

Rosehill
3/12 Lemming unpl. $11.00
5/3 Sampeah unpl. $15.00
7/2 Index Linked unpl. $9.00
9/17 Santa Rocks unpl. $8.50

Morphettville
5/14 Jalan Jalan unpl. $4.80

5. The horse must be beaten by no more than 2 lengths second up.

6. Use your judgement with horses at double figure prepost odds. Do not automatically include nor dismiss every one.

That's it.

Selections for Sat. 14th. May

Caulfield
9/11 Refulgent

Dppmben
6/8 Lordag
7/6 Artlee

Morphettville
3/1 Chestnut Charlie

I forgot to include an important rule, which will be rule 5 below.

5.The second up run must be at a City meeting.

6. The horse must be beaten by no more than 2 lengths second up.

That's it.

Again, when we operated a paid ratings and tipping service, each week I selected some of these horses to give to our members with pretty good results.
