Dundas

I couldn't agree more he was a horse who was either loved or hated over here and I think it had more to do with Makin than anything else, Now if this was Elvstroem doing this you would see it almost everywhere if it was Makybe Diva doing it, it would be plastered all over everything I mean hell look at how much attention there was just to whether she would run in the cup.

I remember the 1st time I saw this horse he had me right away the big gangly chestnut with socks he raced so erratically and yet was still to good for most he came against. Not to bash Gary Newham to much here but if someone with the profile of Luca Cumani had trained him here in Australia he would have been given alot better chances to have succeeded and most likely would have taken home the Cox Plate last year.

If he wins this race tomorrow for me it would be the biggest thing ever in racing the QEII bought a tear to my eye that is how much I loved this horse here in what will be his swansong I hope he just gets a chance to show the americans how good he is because quite honestly at his top he was the best mile-mile and a quarter horse in Australia IMO.

I don't think he handled the track he really struggled getting around the turn wasn't to bad of a run he moved up like he was going to really make a contest out of it but the turn really seemed to knock the wind out of him.

looked like he was really coming into it on the turn but then went missing down the straight. Disappointing, should have stuck to grass!

Yea your probably right with the run Gorella put in in the Mile race you would have thought he would have been a major show there either way this horse has given me some great thrills watching him now he gets to head to the paddock and enjoy his next life.

The horse did his best, but everything was against him, barrier track distance.

Owner just lost a lot of money - very poor investment.

Chrome I remember hearing an interview with Makin that he doesn't care much about the money because he has plenty of it it was more about the Prestige well I guess the smarter option was the mile don't be surprised if the horse now lines up in Hong Kong.

Smile I SAW HIM!!!

I was sitting in the Treasury Casino at 7:30am Sunday morning. 2 monitors on with no sound, the place was like deserted. Great to see him standing up beside such good looking horses - could have imagined him being american. Not disappointed with the result, heard about that Hong Kong start in November, will be watching again!

I still love you Starcraft!
