travelrock,

I too wait in anticipation of your answer of what is a " proper" race.

Today we had, according to you a low class meeting at Scone held on a slow7 track.

Again according to you this meeting should be avoided at all costs.

It seems that in an 8 race program on a slow track that 5 yes five favourites saluted.

Can you please post here the last time that 5 favs won on a sat metro meeting where all the races are proper races.

I am pretty sure that if you find the winner of a Sale Maiden at 5/1 on a thursday afternoon and find the winner of the Cox plate at 5/1... and have 100 on each... I am pretty sure you end with the same amount of cash in the pocket... from each winner...

IMO as a participant in country racing..What you have written there, is insulting to all involved in country and midweek racing around the country..

Proper races??? gimme a break...

If betting on Maidens is your thing go for it. Sounds pretty desperate to me.

I don't back favourites very often so i don't care how many Favs win on Sat. If you go around backing favs every race you will lose more often than not.

A proper race to me is a race where horses have a bit of class about them and the form means something.

If you like low class crappy midweek races then go for it.

I know of a very successful pro punter who rarely bets on Saturday's, and mainly concentrates on midweek racing. There are plenty of betting opportunities and standout selections during the week. You can often find good horses relative to the opposition it is facing.

hmm, & how do you reckon most of these 'horses that have a bit of class about them' get to a 'proper race'?

no maidens, class 1/2/3's etc on a wet & windy tuesday means no 'proper racing' on the saturday

& while were about it, give me an average midweek meeting over the merrygorounds held in sydney most saturdays

travelrock,

You know what you have caused me a great deal of concern today, I backed Rosekay Heart in the first in Brisbane today.
I backed it on nswtab and victab, equal amounts on each to give me a divi of 12.05.

Now the problem I have had is because of the extremely low class of the race I have been worried all day whether I should keep the money or give it back because really I must have just fluked it.

All the best.

I note that Best of 3 Totes i.e. $13.00 was offered today for that meeting.

No.

The outfit I had in mind is not currently advertising here so I won't name them.

But for all I know some of the advertisers here might also match that.

Is that outfit offering best tote on all midweek races????

Also if you win off them over a long time basis do they cut your bets back or ban you???

This is the problem I had with centreracing.
