I've read somewhere that "gamblers" secretly LIKE to lose, never quite got my head around that as I hate to lose, I incorporate all kinds of safety measures in my investing to be as sure as I can that will not lose (in the long run) my plans do spread wide and over a long period.

Gotta admit though that I did enjoy some septacular wins when I was betting merely from the gut (many years ago) most noteable was a horse called Spy Net, which I'd backed at incredible odds (after a tip off ) to win the Champion Hurdle, it led til the last but got beat by Lanzarotte, It came out a few weeks later weighed down with what I put on it, backed from double figures to finish 11-2 AND WON!

Sorry! reminiscing again.......

Ahhh, memory lane. We remember our big wins and forget our loses in days long past. A bit like our successes with women!

Well, I try and forget the losses, but there is a few tales for the "pub" you know the if only ones hahahah! as far as Spy Net was concerned I ended up about even.

By the way what about this sinning? of course we all have to do some sinning in order to get saved! right?.... now, when it comes to "Fillies".... nah, better not!

i think that all gamblers hate to lose and its not the fact of losing its the adrenaline that losing produces......i remember the other night i was sweating it out on a ****** race. i was at the pub having a play around and a mates ****** was in. i had 50 on it and i had a trifecta 10 times standing it out from two other runners......the ****** won....it started equal favourite at 6/4ish and was in a head bobber with the other fave but got its nose down on the line.....the other ****** i threw in the trifecta got beat a nose for third but the photo finish for third went on for what seemed like 10 mins and the whole time my adrenaline was pumping......obviously i was furious when the result came through but the adrenaline was unbelievable.
