Default Doomben Races Saturday

Race 1.
Enrique looks the one here...good run last start..the form jock on board,,I thought Nik Nak Noee had a chance..was ridden upside down last start..stewart would of learnt from that this horse gets back and has a good sprint at the end the 5th behind Cool scene and the 3rd behind La Montagna were real good runs..last start he was just to far forward..
would want good odds to take on the toppy..
Race 2.
Tough race this one...I thought Engineer had his chance here..doesnt win often as i said last week seems a nonwinner to me..but this is his chance ..
should get the easy run again and be to stong at the end.
Rampant lion is flying in easier races..GTHO's run last start was good also..
Your Lion Eyes has been thereabouts..
these look the 4 but Engineer gets the nod ..hopefully 4's or better
Race 3.
Umaprince's form has been faultless..gets in nicely at the weights .. i thought Sam's Dream and Lions Lair who like to go forward might prove to be a nuissance to Umaprince..,,Might set it up for a bolter like Mr Tibula or Soverign Spur or the impressive winner in good time last start Tropiqualo..
I'd be looking at Tropiqualo especially if i can get better than 8's
but i'll go wide with the ones mentioned in the excotics....Umaprince in the paper is 4's ..will be about 2.50 or so tomorrow unless they come for stoodup..
Race 4.
Looks a gimme to Devastating..but Rue the saint can test him...not real confident enought to take him on though....maybe if the odds are good i could be tempted,???
Race 5.
Rock Cafe looks good here especially with the weight he's got....i thought this race could be one for tearinupthecountry..the distance suits and his last couple have been good...he seems to leave it alittle late though and has been costly for me....old maizy up the top might take on rock cafe and if she does it could play into the hands of tearinup....but thats a few ifs and buts..Rock Cafe looks to strong..
Race 6.
Tycoon Rose did the job last start for me..and looks well placed here..has no weight ..racing against the girls now in an easier race....looks real good..should take the sit off Canadian Shuffle.Asimba and denise diamonds who will all go forward..
thought Prophet jewel the danger..but can be hard to follow..,,but worth keeping real safe..
Race 7
Not an easy race this....looks to be a stack of speed on up front here..Malta should do what he did a couple of starts ago..take a sit and then peal off their heels and be to strong....this race tempo will suit Never Sad at a million to one...she's been alittle out of sorts but i'll be having something on her just incase,, on her best form she kills this ,,...Generilisamo a good place chance..
Race 8.
I'm very keen on Rogan's gem here....1100 is as far as she wants but with the weight she's got she should be right to run it strongly ..last 2 runs have been super and jumps well and will race prominent .....thought Seahawk lass could run a good race at odds....yubi and gloucester rd should be respected..

Good luck all ..feeling very confident on a few of them..

Thumbs up

My thoughts...

Race 1 - Its hardly a big call, but i agree that Enrique looks the goods. Big run last time and this field appears to be a bit weaker. Hopefully there is enough speed and Colless can get it to the outside in enough time. Nik Nak Noee and Stirling are other chances but i think the toppy is too classy.

Race 2 - Like Geeteehaycho here. Not a great deal of luck last time and hopefully can take up a more forward position. Good hit rate also, which is more than can be said for some of the opposition. Nothing wrong with the form of Rampant Lion though, all you can do is win. Go Riding can improve on the last run here aswell, in the easier field.

Race 3 - Umaprince has the form on the board and i can't see a reason to jump off. Will be right on the pace and i can't see too many of these hassling him out in front. Tropiqualo was a big run last time, and agree, the time was huge. The alley just worries me a tad. Kanetoshi Millions is better than his last few seem, and can improve at odds.

Race 4 - Don't really care to be honest. Devastating does look too good, but small fields are a trap. Concitare is a nice horse on his day and Bohemian Dancer can go alright too. NEXT

Race 5 - Like Tsolias at odds here. Terrible to see what happened to him in the run last time, just didnt get a good go at the them. With adequate speed (which i think is likely here), he'll be coming home well at the end...looks an out and out stayer. Rock Cafe is there, just don't think he'll get his own way out in front. Lord Rupert is a chance after the nice win last time, he's best at this distance.

Race 6 - Mesmerising is the horse on the way up, and can go close here i think. Has shown good promise in her few starts to date, so with some speed on she will be there at the end. Crystal Wit ran a big race last time (without an ounce of luck) and can go better here from the 1. Good tough win by Denise's Diamond last time, but this is harder and theres more speed.

Race 7 - I like Road to Heaven here, so lets just hope i'm not behind at this stage of the day. He's not the most reliable character going around but i just think he can go to the front and with the light weight might be able to pinch it. Malta is a good chance, just needs the speed on...same applies for Never Sad (who ran some very good races in and around Brisbane a while back).

Race 8 - Bikini Bottom will give a good sight here. Excels fresh and can go very fast. Alley is a worry, but hopefully can burn them off and get across no worries. Romantic Journey was a stunning winner on debut but this is a huge class rise and i just think it might be beyond him at this stage. Mighty Crossing has been racing well out of town (especially with a good win last time at Toowoomba) and could surprise at odds. The speed looks hot in the last race so it might suit the backmarkers....so naturally, i've picked 3 on pacers

Good luck everyone

Sven

Just wondering what you guys think of Mateys chance in the 3rd today?? Also i was tossing up between Bikini Bottom and Romantic Journey but i didnt see its first run, but winning by 4l was a bit of a worry.

Bikini Bottom's scratched. I think Romantic Journey's got a top chance, providing it's some sort of value.

It looked super impressive on debut, but those debut races are hard to line up when they go to saturday grades, will have to go on with it.

Hi Horse Whisperer..i thought Matey had a good chance...he gets a queery as he's first up over 1350m..horses like umaprince ect would have the fitness edge on him...but he's in a top stable and a good jockey on board..he'll get speed in this race which might suit him..
Romantic Journey ..looked very good in winning last time..this is way harder they might be alittle to quick for him here..he looks like he'd be suited in races longer by the way he's bred and the way he strides out..he won like a superstar last time so you have to keep him safe in the excotics..

other state selections.
Sydney
*Intermoo...really like this horse..the 2000m isnt a problem,,the weight is alittle worry as is the likely tempo.but hes a promising type
*Blue Patriarch.e/w...backmarker who will get the tempo here..has no weight and will have the last crack at them,,
*Snippetson..relaxes well in his races usually so the distance isnt a worry.
might be alittle short unless they come for our highlander
*Railings..like him here ..looks well placed but again no value
*Forestreno..thought the last could be a good trifecta race..horses like Solomons seal, buran all could bob up..might go wide with the the top 2 ..
forestreno left it alitle late last start but was making a stack of ground.

Melbourne
*Bella Jinsky, * Stratton Place..thought *Roman Arch could run a cheeky race in the Memsie..
Kembla Grange
*Ledger, *Prince Of Midnight
Gold Coast
*Audited, *Red Pill, *Divine Etoile.
Belmont
*polish Prince, *Power Patrol
Toowoomba
*Nasarlo
Adelaide
*Mandevous, *Lady chorister, *Regent Street, *Next Now

just got 3.40 about St Reims ..incredible price hope this is a sign of things to come..

Sportz, after scratching of the bikini bottom the next step could well be a Romantic Journey
