Default Keep The Faith

Keep The Faith is running today(Sat.-your Sun. morning at 7:54@). Morn line is 9/2 in a 7 horse field at 7 furlongs. The horse set the track record at Belmont last out running 6 furlongs (1200 m.) on the turf in !!!! 1:06.4 !!!! Unbelievable! I couldn't believe it when I looked at the time. Of course, they just started having turf sprints in NY this summer so he could have ran in 1:10 and set it, but he ran in 1:06. I don't usually worry about time (It only matters in jail) as track conditions, pace, and such are more important to me. This horse is right. Gotta be the LASIX. Someone posted on the ALINGHI thread about how much the lasix helped FAITH, and he's right. Did this horse end up on the bleeders list much in Australia? I have to go check out the stewards reports. I'll get back on this one if anything else comes up. PS still smarting that DEA paid $50 to win and $54 to place while the 2 in that race paid large to place and $114 to show. Picked second and third at top of program at Flem.

KEEP THE FAITH ran on Saturday at Belmont Park in NY. He led a long way and set some really fast fractions whhile holding on to a good 3rd against some of the best milers in the US (barring Leroidesanimeaux). He'll probably go in the mile, but if he couldn't hold on Sat. without any pressure, I don't think he'll be able to do it in the BC. He ran a very respectable race however and if speed is holding on BC day, who knows???
