Default Doomben Races Saturday

Interesting to see how Sven and I go tomorrow..first time on the slow ,,must say it looks a pretty hard meeeting now the rain has come..but i love the place and am sure we'll get a few over the line.

Race 1.
Canadian Shuffle is in great form..Mason seems to be getting them to run for her and the horse can take a sit , lead or come from the back,,and has a placing in the wet..thought Areeba Arreba who should lead and likes the wet ..also has the nice weight would be hard to run down..will concentrate on these 2..
Race 2.
What do you do here ?? hard enough on a good track,,i liked the way Silent tornado keeps fighting on in his races,,,,like the breeding to ..worth an e/w maybe..
Race 3.
What a race this is...anything could get up here,,very open..Zaberei is an improving type...good jock and has wet track form ,,will do me....keep Parameter safe ,,this is a good horse and the change of trainer will do wonders..
RAce 4.
The Strategics seem to like the wet..so racetrack should run well here..has been honest without being spectacular,,She's rocking won very well last start...will look at these 2..not confident
Race 5.
Hard to tip against Willy...although Tycoon Rose will give him something to catch..she loves the wet..where as Willy is unproven..Planagram if leaders are looking good is a very good chance aswell...
doesnt look a betting race..maybe Planagram e/w ?? and go the tris
Race 6.
Persuades with the wet track form and the claim looks well placed..races well fresh..Fleet Baron has untapped ability can be a nut around the barriers.. ..likes the wet ..keep an eye on betting for this one..
Race 7.
Fantastic race this one....Gumnuts has been real good to me..and will only be better this prep..won in the wet and has a good barrier and Jock,,I'm a fan of Poetic papal as well and is well in with this weight goes ok in the wet ..
will be looking at these 2..
I like Algorithm but risky in the wet ..was the under bidder when he was for sale a couple of months ago..will win everything now just to rub it in..
Race 8.
Udder brilliance...hope i dont need a get out of jail come this race..not very confident ..but i did like his run for third in the slow behind Matey..

A great card ..dam the wet...good luck

Hey Mav, agree its a good card, tough races.....but you should get value if you like anything. Obviously the wet complicates matters....

Race 1 - Canadian Shuffle should lead in this (or be close to them) and can stick on well. She looks amazingly well in here with only 53.5kgs on her back. Considering she is coming out of a quality race and some of these are still eligible for class 3s and 4s. Areeba Areeba has the form behind it, and can cruise along at good tempo out in front. Excellent form in the wet too. Aristocracy is still to show me her ability but, on breeding, she can do something tomorrow in this field with the good alley.

Race 2 - Who'd know? Maybe Rosco's Circus, Cole Trickle and Mr Bachelor but i'm only guessing

Race 3 - Wow....tough as they come. Roar Talent isnt without a hope. With a light weight and some wet form, he can lead and give a sight at odds. Experience is a horse with ability when he wants to show it, has got good wet form too. Fortified was a good win last time, the alley is a horror here though. If he gets a good run in transit, he'll be there at the end. Tough race.

Race 4 - They are all unknowns in the wet, so its a guessing game here. Maybe Mr Barlow with some fitness followed by Race track and Justdane. Its a raffle though.

Race 5 - Willy Leica is the class here, to be sure. But he'll be short enough. Planagram will be a long way in front of him at the turn. For that reason, i like planagram eachway. I think he'll give a great sight and will be much better odds than WL. Willy Leica is a potential topliner and can't be left out, as i said though, will be a long way back. General Sam deserves some luck in his races, and might get it here with Byrne and the good alley.

Race 6 - Good race. Persuades is a good young horse with some pace. Has a good alley here, and can take advantage of it, with some of the better chances being drawn wide. Fleet Baron has always had a boom on him, and might be able to produce fresh tomorrow with a good alley and a senior jockey. Sharp Aunty seems to be able to run placings in all sorts of company and can run well here too, the alley is a little worry though.

Race 7 - Top race. Lot of speed here. Panzer is as honest as they come and from the 1 will get the perfect run behind the leaders. I think he can go very close. Gumnuts is a quality horse with good winter carnival form and can fire fresh from the good alley. Helter Skelter is a fast horse, may benefit from the run here though. The alley is no great help ether.

Race 8 - If Audubon is on his best behaviour and can get in from the alley, i think he can go very close here. Won't be flash odds i'd imagine, but i think he's potentially just better than these. Udder Brilliance was a good win last time and can not be discounted here from the good alley. King of Spain just needs some luck from the back gate to be right in the finish. He's an up and comer with some potential and can certainly knock some of the fancies off at the death.

Best chances are probably Canadian Shuffle and Audubon with a good rough chance going to Roar Talent.

Good luck everyone, hope you have a win tomorrow

Sven

I think General Sam is scratched out of race six.

Felt there was plenty of early speed in Brs race 6, with speed drawn wide. Fleet Barron could get a good run behind the pace.

MLB: Virage De Fortune - competive race but I love this horses turn of foot

SYD: Whistling Bob - very strong final 200m last start. 1400m suits. In race 9 I'll have something on Majestic Feeling. HK form looks solid enough, 2 trials, kinda expect it to hit the line hard.

ADL: looking at Sparkling Now & Giggling Giggs, both raced wide last start.

Algorithm is in my 'fresh' stable having had 5 first up starts for 4 wins. On a dry track, I would definitely have backed him. On a wet track, I don't know. I hope they scratch him and save him for another day.
