From these select forecast favourite that has best score, awarding points as follows:

1 point if it is running again within 10 days (inclusive)
1 point if it is a winner at the course
1 point if it is a winner over the distance
1 point winner this season in last three placings
1 point if pre-post price is $2.51 to $4.50 inclusive
1.5 points if pre-post price is $2.50 or shorter
1 point if it has won or placed on the track conditions
1 point if tipped by either of the top two tipsters (or 1.5 points if tipped by both)
1 point if it is the top-rated horse in the race
0.5 points if rating is one point less than the top-rated horse.

If more than one select the horse in the race with the fewest win rivals in their last three races this season.

If still more than one select the horse running again most recently.

No bet if the selection is not the favourite when actual betting commences, that is bet just before the off to ensure that you know this.

Alternatively you can ignore the race if the selection is not the clear favourite in the race.
