im a broncos fan myself and every year i question whether they can make the eight let alone the top four

and every year they come good even with no major signings

The Broncos are very consistent. Ever since they last won in 2000, they've done exactly the same thing every year.

They start off very well stringing a series of wins together and normally going to the top of the table or close to it. Then after the S.O.O series finishes, they collapse in a total heap and struggle to win another game. They usually have enough points to make the top 8, sometimes even the top 4, but they aren't competitive in the finals. Basically, they've never been a winning chance since Langer left.

Having said all that, they've been experimenting with Karmichael Hunt at halfback. Not sure if they're going to continue, but they definitely need something like that. Their play has become stale and WAY too much pressure falls on Lockyer. By the end of the season, he's become so worn out, they simply don't pose a threat to the other teams who have more creative options.
