![]() manikato, I like Our Big Paddy, but is in race 3 (not the penultimate). Think he would do better if ridden off the pace. All Irish was very disapointing last start, but still might have a little bit on him EW.
EI, me a trainer? now there's a thought........oops here I go again  A visiting American trainer walks into the local pub in Mallow. In the pub there a many trainers / jockeys celebrating another successful day at Cork Racecourse. After a while the American trainer shouts above the din, "I'll give anyone $200 if they can drink 10 Guinness's in 10 minutes." It seemed most people just ignore him and continued with their conversations. One of the local trainers – Paddy (great name!) walks over to yank and asks him to repeat his challenge. Again the American trainer shouts above the din, "I'll give anyone $200 if they can drink 10 Guinness's in 10 minutes." Paddy stands there for a while & then leaves the bar. The yank laughs to himself and yet again repeats his challenge. Still no takers. The yank has another Guinness himself, and is just about to leave, when in walks Paddy, saunters up to the American, and says "Is that bet still on?" "Sure” says the yank, so the bartender lines 10 Guinness's up on the bar and Paddy drinks them all in less than 10 minutes. As the American hands over the money he asks, "Where did you go when you disappeared a while back?" Paddy sheepishly responds, "I went next door to the other pub to see if I could do it."

![]() Hey Paddy, you break me up
I've rated Our Big Paddy just out of top two, All Irish would have to improve on best rating, to have any chance. _________________ All the best from the West Sandgroper  [ This Message was edited by: Sandgroper on 2002-08-02 23:30 ] |
