Not a bad days racing in Brissie tomorrow.....some big fields that are very open..alot of value around just have to find it..

Race 1.
I see Webb has his young charges racing again . Cruskit's a good horse ..good enough for them to take him down south for a maybe slipper campaign but not up to that class.. Unintentional has form around Pure Energy. it would be nice to be there on the track to see how forward these guys are.. But these look the standouts...

Race 2.
I usually like these races..Maidens are hard but theres usually some good value about..another race where being at the track is a distinct adavantage...Interested to see how this Kbenjar gelding goes tomorrow King Of Fitzroy ..i saw him last year and he's a nice type and was only going to get better....i'd be keeping a close eye on the Bailey horse Beckinsale ...and Doppelt has been hitting the line nicely....to hard this race but i'll be cheering King Of Fitzroy e/w ......i have an interest in a little colt by Kbenjar so i'd like to see some winners from him.....

Race 3.
Abu Simbel again ??? i dont know what to do with this horse..he did enough last start to warrant another go but hes cost me 3 full stake bets in a row....I like him but i was very impressed with Game On ..this is a monster of a horse and hes all proffessional....its all about tempo with Abu Simbel and i cant see anything going out hard here..My Chinese King looks the leader but hes not going to crazy...Game On gets a nice run and can just roll on into the race when he wants..,,hes to good for me to take on but i do like the Exacta ,,,and Red Pill/ My chinese King for the tri.......cant see any value here as i think with Byrne aboard Abu and Colless on Game On they'll have all the support.

Race 4.
I like Enrique ..this horse is good fresh likes the track and distance...i like the change with Pannell on Epsom Races aswell this might be the day he puts it all together...Moonlight shadow never runs a bad race,,,,i'll be on Enrique if theres value..and i'll be working tris around thes 3.

Race 5.
An open race...i went looking for the horse who'll get the good run...Tropiqualo fits the bill..never been a fan of the horse but hes always around the money and from the inside he should be able to camp just off them..Waterford warrior chased the inform San Franfrisco last start and again will be in this....he gets the speed to suit and the wide open spaces of E/f are to his liking....one to keep an eye on betting is Public Opinion..the horse can run but has his problems....

Race 6.
Another one i've been patient with is Canadian Shuffle...gets everything her way here...mightn't get the lead but will be close up...has a habit of butchering the start which will just ruin here chances here if she does....I'm guessing she'll be short tomorrow..i went looking for a swooper..but really couldnt find one...Partridge has a habit of popping up at odds..has done it before here and atleast likes the track and distance....doesnt seem a hard race...i'll be on Partridge e/w and keeping the shuffle safe.. ...

Race 7.
Looks a race between Princess Margarat and Dont Tell tom...i'd have to go the Princess..shes a very good mare and she'll be winning some big races this carnival...looks the best of the day...Dont tell tom who only looked in 2nd gear last start will be the one i'd be most worried about...Go The Princess .

Race 8.
ANother one of those races...Last week i tipped Jumpn Jared and he made a stack of ground ...Intitials was very good also in a harder race..he had to chase Olivers Magic who dictated the race up front...
these are the 2 for me...should be able to back both..

May as well put my two bobs worth in as it's a Public holiday and to kill time I knocked up some thoughts for Brissy.

Colless will be keen as mustard to make up for a wasted Syd. trip and is on some good horses, but things might not go all his way today carrying the grandstand on most rides.

R1 a bit of a shocker with lots of first ups. Mr Bachelor (10) 58.0 [Colless] or 2 Cruskit (4) [Pope] 57.5 who will get the run of the race at this distance [1000m] Bachelor will be covering a lot of extra ground from b10. Ring Ring 55.0 [1] K. Pope, might be the value bet first up.

R3 Half the field are backmarkers in this and My Chinese King going to set a good pace as a leader to set it up for ??? Game on the on-pacer will probably win for Colless if you want some evens but don't be surprised if either backmarkers Lord Rupert with Ms R S Mason (a 2.0) or Taylor on Super Friend upset things.

R4 Both Moonlight Shadow [Colless] and Enrique [Pattillo] are coming back from breaks and both are good first up. Enrique back from Melb. failing in bigger races so the colt will be looking for the dosh in this to cover some expenses and is the class horse here. Foreshore with the 3kg. drop in weight might do something on his 3rd. start in after a let-up [2 from 2 so far]..

R5 With only 1 win from 5 first up attempts I think Colles on Public Opinion will get rolled in this with 59.5kg. [up 5.5kg]. Testify (4) 53.5 will lead and get a great tun and with the weight and good first up record can win and so can Solid as a Rock now 3rd. up and fit to go. Ignore his 2nd up run as he always does badly. Danehill/Sir Tristram bloodline and just had a nice barrier trial for 2nd.

R6 Canadian Shuffle (1) Ms M Radecker (a 3.0) will win.

R7. Zoe's Lad (5) or even Dynamic Dancing (12)with a 9.5kg. weight drop might come over the top of the [overweight] top weight leader Don't Tell Tom and Qualo carrying too much weight too.

R8 Get your darts out:-)

OK, R8 Clang Edition should win this but the price will be very poor value for a 15 horse race. I'm already on it in the 2UP comp. but I might change the bet after looking at morning prices. Everyone and their dog will be on it and I wouldn't bet against it so it's a no bet race for me.

There is sure to be a bit of value about here and especially at Flemington too [nice sunny weather]. Cheers and have a good day.

Race 1.
Well it was all in the riding in this race..Colless just nursed Mr Bachelor to the line..he's the man...Cruskit was very good in 2nd...took him a while to wind up but he'll be better for the run..Unintentional was dissapointing i thought..horse raced alittle ungenerously so he might race better next time now the edge is off.
Race 2
Couldnt believe the support for King Of Fitzroy..i was thinking maybe 15's ...the colless bandwagon jumped aboard and he was dissapointing in fading down the straight...will be better over further though..and ifs theres money around for him at this stage he must be showing something on the training track,,,Roman Squier was very impressive...
Race 3.
Glad i left Abu alone..with My Chinese King out it was taylor made for Game On..i'm not getting over excited about him...yes he's won 3 in a row but hasnt raced against anything yet...this was a class 5 today at best,,
people are talking Brissie cup ect.....
i'll wait to i see him in a true staying race with pressure up front before i'm sold..
Race 4.
Backed Enrique here and was dissapointing....just didnt seem to grab the bit at all......Colless the difference here..i thought the weight would stop her but she was very good..,Epsom Races was good also...
Race 5.
A good win by Tropiqualo...everything went to plan...got the good run and was just to speedy for them.....No world beaters in this lot..Public Opinion with his fair share of probs might be off to padock for good i'd say..
Race 6.
Glad i didnt jump back on Canadian Shuffle...the horse has been dissapointing this prep...not sure the radecker experement is working..maybe needs a stronger rider to get her switched on more....I had a little e/w on Partridge at 20''s and she was very good....but it was set up for Marikal and she won very nicely.
Race 7.
Princess Margaret was very gallant in defeat ridiculous odds though...looked to have sweated up and didnt have any favours in running...a good 4th and from a good barrier will be hard to beat against the girls...
Zoe Lad with fitness and the perfect tempo was to good...Dont tell tom should have been better against this lot with that weight...past his best now but will still win if placed right..
Race 8.
The last was a lotterry...Backed Jumpn Jared at 25's e/w and he again ran on evenly.....I thought Clang edition was ordinary..looked to have had the perfect run and when he loomed up in the straight he looked as though he was going to go straight past them this was 2nd up so he'll be right at his peak next start..

Not much action for me today at Brissie...Enrique and Tropiqualo for wins and Partridge and Jumpn Jared e/ws for the one collect...
an even day in brissie.

My melbourne runners all seemed to finish 4thish
the Italian, Forest Night, Mccloud, Douro Valley .....wipeout,,all raced ok though..especially the italian ..very good run..

Ledger ..dam horse starting to cost me...good run though..

Cathy Come Home...a very nice place divie...still a maiden this one and Sportz and co will remember how i am with these maideners..i wont be happy till i get Cathy over the line..
(remember Lair, Grand Merlot...lair raced today and finished a distant last and i'm not sure what grand Merlot is doing..)

Calmbeforethestorm Woohoo a nice win ...looked a good thing and was very happy with the $5.50..the trifecta was a very good aswell..

A small profit for the day..still going in the right direction ..hard work though..Melbourne really killed me ...

I had only 3 bets in Brisb. Scored nicely on Zoe's Lad at 7/1 and should of had a 3 horse tri. on my 3 recommendations in r1. Payed $98. Nothing like hindsight :-(
