Tennis Query
I notice on Betfair that M.Baghdatis who is ranked 20 in the world is the $2.48 outsider whilst his opponent O. Rochus is ranked 29 and is the $1.65 fave.
Would this anomoly be due to the type of surface played on today? or something else, like injury, sickness, etc |

It is probably a combination of the surface and injury.
Baghdatis retired hurt with a back injury in his last match, which was about a month ago. He also hasn't had very good results in recent times on clay. Rochus on the other hand won the Munich clay tournament last week, so that would be another reason he would be favourite. I wont be touching the match though as I usually fade guys coming off wins from the week before as outside of the top few players they usually can't back it up for two weeks in a row. Hope that helps, Sparks |

It certainly does, Sparks - thanks.
Obviously you follow tennis. Is there somewhere I can get some sort of a guide on what to look for with tennis betting? Michael. Last edited by michaelg : 9th May 2006 at 03:00 PM. |
