A couple of years ago, I had a neurals system on the go. I left the scaling the same, But concerted on races that had the field at 11 races or less. I cannot find the results, but it it did quite well. I did not take scratching’s into account. I had selected the first two horses from c1 up. Was a lot of bets though

Feather, your suggestion of limiting the fields to 11 has improved the results with both methods for Win and Place. From tomorrow I'll continue with two categories - those with 11 and less starters, and those over 11 starters. However, rightly or wrongly, I'll be omitting metro meetings.
