the prince, didn't see the race, however did beat a last start mid week winner by 4 lengths, in 2nd fastest 1000m of the day (only the welter was faster). First start, carrying 2kg over limit. Test will be Saturday class.

Who knows, could easily measure up.

just a little more to metal reign he must of went close to running the fastest last 600m on the day and doing it with little or no pressure from the jock. By metal storm i think this horse has a big future.

the prince, Metal Reign did run a fast last 600m (33:81), 2nd fastest of the day. Looking forward to Metal Reign's next couple of runs.

From Tuesday's "West Australian"20/08/2002.
"METAL REIGN TO JOIN TOP STABLE"
The drift of the story is that part-owner Dennis Lillee and others are sending him to Melbourne trainer Tony McEvoy today. The plan is to catch the Vic spring carnival.
