Default Corporates in the NT ???

can anyone tell me why most of the corporates are based in the Northern Territory ?

is it a tax thing?

any help appreciated? thanks

Each state appears to have different bookmaking laws.

For example NSW does not allow corporate bookmakers.

And bookmaking taxes in the ACT (and probably most other states) are higher than the NT.


I recall Colin Tidy trying to get the NSW rules reformed. He didn't get very far, so moved his outfit to the NT.
