Take the money & run plan
Here is a plan that producers a good percentage of winners & the odd double digit payer. Without any form study.
RULES 1) Target the top 2 selections of your favorite source of tipsters e.g. DFS , Sky Channel (available on-line) UniTAB ect. These have a 36-45% SR on an average day. 2) Bet the one that has the WORST Wt rating as per say UniTAB e.g. 100ptrs 3)Stop at the first winner each venue producers. This is important. 4) Do the same for each venue on the day. It usually hits at least one out of 8 shots. The reason why we target the worst rating is that they usually pay more than the better rating of the 2 selections. Lets face it , if the better rating got up every time , it would make racing dead easy, but it doese'nt work that way. STAKING 1 1 1 2 4 6 9 12 = 36 units Have 7 lots of 36 units = 252 units. This covers 56 bets If the winner pays less than expected , accept the small loss & stop betting at that venue. Restart at 1 unit. If we strike 8 outs in a row, write it off & start again at 1 unit. It usually recovers outstanding losses with a few good priced winners along the way of future bets. It can be run as one continuious bet, venue to venue or seperate staking for each individual venue. A winner greater than 2/1 will make it show profit. The selections usually pay $3.50+ with the odd $10 winner. The SR is definatly there, it rarely has a day where it doesnt hit upon a winner at each venue , especially in the first couple of races. Work out ones results over each set of 100 bets, to see how its working for you. Check it over some past results first, before betting real money. Cheers.

Hi BW,
Would it therefore be correct that you would just take the lowest number, as the top weighted nag is No1 60 kgs, second weight is No2 58 kgs and No3 57.5 Kgs etc, so if unitab/sky whatever has their tips as 1,3 and 2, we would be on the 1 automatically ? Would you have a cut off price of say $12 or just take what is on offer ? Seems to work though ! CHeers Dingo |

Hi Dingo,
The idea is to take the selection with the worst wt rating out of your tipsters top 2 selections e.g. 90pts over 100pts as per say UniTAB wt ratings For example , there was a $9.20 winner at Terang race 3. Mon 29th It had the worst rating out of the top 2 tipster selections. A more concervative staking approach is ... 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 4 = 20 units Cheers.

It should work just as well, not all Favs win, therefore it stands to reason that the other selection stands a good chance of scoring at least 1 win in 8
Go over some previouse results. Remember to stop at that venue as soon as 1 winner is struck. Cheers.

Interesting Bhagwan. I like the simple ones
What do you do if they both have the same WT rating? Last edited by AngryPixie : 1st February 2007 at 11:51 AM. |

If they have the same Wt rating.
One has to make there own guestimate about that one. Maybe take the shorter price of the two, rightly or wrongly. Fortunatly, this does'nt occure too often. Past results have favoured the shorter price of the two where the Wt rating is the same as one another. Cheers.
