A disgrace by the Seymour racing club.
Jockeys owners trainers and punters should have been advised the day prior, they have caused untold expense to those in the industry including the racecaller / radio station. It took a few jockeys to walk the track and advise stewards it was nowhere near safe. Stewards conferred and postponed the meeting. The issue was bald patches at four different parts of the track making grip impossible and slipping or tripping a near certainty. The track had been watered via bore water to try to make the grass grow, but the grass had not taken. Grass doesn't grow overnight, nor in a few hours!!!
