Question Track Conditions

Does anyone else share my reservations that the true track conditions are sometimes (unwittingly)withheld from the general betting public?
Especially at carnival time it appears that officials are reticent to downgrade the track conditions despite consistent rain as it may affect off-course betting turnover.
Any thoughts on this matter?

Cheers.

Default

12:22p.m.EST,

It's currently pouring down rain in Sydney so I hope that the punting public is kept up to date if the track continues to deteriorate.
On one of the biggest wagering days of the year the officials owe it to the public to declare the correct track condition rather than give a conservative "guesstimate."
In my case this may have a big bearing on which runners I will wager upon and also the amounts involved.

Cheers.

Thumbs up

1:45p.m. Alert punters on TVN would have noticed that top professional jockey C. Williams was sighted walking the track with an umbrella prodding the surface evaluating the true state of the going.
He obviously is looking for favourable going to assist his mounts for the rest of the afternoon....take note!

Cheers.
