Ladder Place Staking Plan
Heres a place staking plan one may like to try out.
Place Ladder Staking Plan. One keeps betting up the ladder, win lose or draw ,until one is 1.5 units in profit, before starting again. Example. 123456789ect up to 20 Cost 210 units for a run of 20 bets. Start again once 1.5 units profit is made, or, when one has hit bet 20. If the first bet at 1 gets up , we go up the ladder to 2, if we are not 1.5 units in profit. It works a treat if one has a 66% Place SR. If place betting only, its a good idea to try & get a $1.40 min dividend, otherwise, no bet. Betfair is very good for this stratergy because the div is known before jump time & the price can be locked in. Cheers.

Hi Bhagwan. I have often bet for a place only and the selection method I use is to back the first horse paying over $1.70 for a place on whichever tab you might use as long as you stick to the same tab all the time. This staking plan may well work with those selections.

I should have added that I work down from tab number 1. That way if more than one qualifies there is no worry about which one to bet (eg two or more are at $1.70 then the first one you come to is the selection) That should be clear as mud. I also only like to go up as far as $2.00

Bags, I decided to run the Ladder over a set of results from a place system of mine that was doing great till the horror run/s hit, with the intention/expectation that it would kill it, here is the results:
System 71 selections for 49 hits = 49% S/R level stakes loss = 2% Ladder stakes 428 for 5.42% POT I'd have to say that this was the worst run in 4 years so it could only get better from there. It's on spreadsheet so if anyone wants it eemale me at lumbasakabayo at hott male dott comm |

Hi Party
Now that's what I call a horror run. That's a pretty good acid test. Well done. Cheers.

Bhagwan, I have never kept a close eye on how it performs but it is pretty much around the 50% mark at least. I can't back check it because the odds go all over the place in the last minute of betting. I usually place my bets with about 90 secs to go and if that is adhered to then, like all other price related systems, you win some and you lose some. I backed a horse yesterday that was paying $1.70 at my cut off point and I ended up getting $1.40 but also I had one that was paying $1.90 and finished up paying $2.30 so it's all roundabouts and swings. Win only is also an option but again I have no strike rates. Sorry.

OOPS! decided to run that over all 4000 results on the same plan, got as far as bet no. 250, things went backwards after hitting a sequence whereby we stopped at bet 20, the running total is at present almost exactly even, but will persevere and post the results overall. There's no way to do it quickly so it might take a week or two.

RE: 2 posts back, error, of course 49 hits from 71 should read 69% S/R not 49.
Bags, it wasn't the S/R that was horrific it was how the losers fell, i.e. a fantastic winning run, followed by a horror patch, then another one, then followed by another fantastic run. |
