Smile Another OLDIE

ADD WEIGHT TO PRICE MINUS BARRIER POSITION

IGNORE APPTC ALLOWANCE

i.e WT 54 PRICE $4 ( 3/1 ) BARRIER 8 = 49

Cheers.
Darky.

Question darky

Once you've applied your rule is the focus then on the highest or lowest scores? highest slant - more weight, better barrier, better price; lowest slant - less weight, shorter price, poorer barrier

Personally, I would lean towards the lower figure if it was a 2 horse discission
because I feel the barrier plays a weaker roll of the 3 targeted items.

I would treat all barriers 10-20 as 10pts. otherwise I feel the final points could become way too slanted.

Have alook at the 1st & 2nd Favs barrier positions in some past results & it will show that they are nearly 50/50 but the wider barrier pays fractionally more longterm.

Cheers.

I can see a case for the highest rated – classier beast (in the opinion of the handicapper), good barrier, good (ew?) price
