Unhappy Amelia's dream...nightmare

She's got a major injury and is out of the slipper
Aap got the story
She ran the fastest time ever recorded by a two year old over 1100m at Rosehill
Her price was shortened to $2.80 for the golden slipper before news of the injury came thru

Such is the racing game
I doubt she'll race again(but don't quote me)

I guess they're not built to run that fast! It's a real shame....

incredible time,,,she would have been insured for a nice sum (i assume) and will have alot of interest when she gets to the breeding barn,,

from what i hear Gai has a very high attrition rate with her youngies,,,the pressure from owners who pay inflated prices at the sales , the lure of huge prizemoney all contribute to the break down of alot of good young horses,,,

Other than the horse's well being, with some rich prizes on offer how bad would her owner be feeling at the moment.
