Wink Neuralmania

I have been having very good success with the neurals on the weaker fields. I bet more than half the runners in boxed quinellas and trifectas. It appears these weaker fields produce good divvies. Yesterday I snared the trifecta (and of course the quinella) on Gosford R6 which paid $5,500, and five others that paid inxs of $500. Now that I'm listing the selections here the method will most likely fall due to the forum curse. Anyway, I'll give it a go.

Goulburn 8 nos. 1, 3, 6, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17
Goulburn R9 nos. 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16
Ararat R5 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 12, 14
Ararat R6 nos. 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12
Ararat R8 nos. 2, 3, 4, 6, 12, 13, 14, 15
Ararat R9 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12
Narromine R4 nos. 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 12
Narromine R5 nos. 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11
Narromine R7 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 13, 17
Narromine R8 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11
Ipswich R2 nos. 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12
Ipswich R9 nos. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16

Quinella outlay of $346
Trifecta outlay of $4,074.

As a matter of interest, if every quinella/trifecta loses today, I will still be in profit.

Fingers crossed.

No wonder you're winning. You're picking 3/4 of each field.

Very true. The minimum amount of selections is more than half the field and the maximum is limited to 75%.

I'm more or less 'buying" the quinella and trifecta. The size of the divvies are what I'm hoping/betting will keep the method in profit. So far so good.

I have also been laying with success the shortest non-selection if it is $11 or less. I've only had two accidents so far - one was the fave and the other was the second-fave.

I find them (so far) very inconsistent. Its good that you're profiting from them.

If you don't mind me asking - what types of bets are you using the neurals for?

The forum curse struck yesterday.

There were 8 quinella successes from the 12 races. The strike rate was slightly less than the average of 80% for a relatively small loss of $7 (NSW divvies). There were only 2 successful trifectas for a loss of $1,250 which is disappointing because the overall strike rate has been slightly more then 50%. However, I had a 100% success rate with Laying.

We'll see if they perform better today.

Ballina R5 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, 11
Ballina R6 nos. 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11
Ballina R7 nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11
Ballina R9 nos. 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
Sale R7 nos. 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, 12, 15

Quinella outlay of $129
Trifecta outlay of $1,428.

A better day yesterday.

There were 3 successful quinellas from the 5 races for a profit of $66, but only one successful trifecta for a profit of $140.

Today's selections:
Sun Coast R4 nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11
Sun Coast R5 nos. 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11
Strathalbyn R6 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ,7, 8, 10, 11

Quinella outlay of $92.
Trifecta outlay of $1176.

If anyone's interested, there were 79 selections on Monday for a return of $77.70 on Win betting using Unitab divvies, and yesterday there were 38 selections for a return of $53.90.

I have not been checking Metro meetings except for last Sat and Sunday where both days showed a quinella and trifecta profit, so I'll list today's races and see what happens. The selection process is slightly different between Metro and non-Metro.

Canterbury R6 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9
Canterbury R8 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9

Quinella outlay of $49.
Trifecta outlay of $546.

Further to Win betting - unfortunately I only have Win betting records going back to last Friday. Since that date to Sunday (3 days) there have been 165 selections for a Win return of $197.00 using Unitab divvies.

A bad day yesterday. From the three races there was only one successful quinella for a loss of $56 (it is still in profit since posting them here). And only one successful trifecta for a loss of $516. And Win betting suffered a small loss of $0.30.

It's very disappointing because before listing them here, the quinella strike rate over many races was 80% for a POT of 72%. The trifecta strike rate was 52% for a POT of 94%. Since posting the selections here, the quinella strike rate has been 70%, and for trifectas it has been only 20%.

Yesterday's Metro results were not too bad - from the 2 races there was one successful quinella for an overall profit of $20, one successful trifecta for an overall profit of $865, and for Win betting the outlay was $15 for a return of $31.50.

Today's selections:
Wyong R5 nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 13
Kempsey R6 nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9
Kempsey R9 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10
Townsville R3 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 11, 12
Northam R6 nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 14
Northam R7 nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10

Win outlay of $45
Quinella outlay of $147
Trifecta outlay of $1638
