Default Help on OCR

I would like to scan a document containing numerals onto an excel sheet so I can manipulate or filter the data. I have looked into OCR programs but they seem to only to be able to work with words. For instance to be able to scan the form from a weekly form guide onto a spreadsheet to build a database. Is CSV a possibility? and where do I get the info from?

It's free and you need the Microsoft dot net framework installed on your computer.
