After a few odd stats
Am after a few stats for toying around with, if someone with a database could shed some light would be great.
1.)What percent of races are won by horses paying $15 and under? 2.)What percent of all races are won by horses with a odd numbered TAB saddlecloth? 3.)And what percent of question one are won by horses with a odd number? What I am hoping to achieve with the stats? Well, even Im unsure about that |

Hey there,
Just off the cuff I would think: 1. 95% 2. 50% 3. 50% Just being silly here, but if you can make a system out of this, good luck...! Paul |

I cant answer all questions but
1 is more like 12.5% over 5000 races I think that that is enough of a test bed Michal |

Sorry
I just realised my mistake there ....... invert the stats to come up with the corect figure 87.5% for those that won less then $15 I gave you the onse that wone OVER $15. When you look at both the stats they are exact the same 87.5% be they over 5000 or 21,000 races this holds up, Im quite happy with that knowlege that it makes no difference if we look at last year or 5 years ago its the same statictic. Cheers for that. Reason I was asking was I have had a couple of days off for study leave and been watching more racing than usual. Came up with a fun system for backing three horses in a race. Pick one horse from the $2 to $5 range, one from the $5 to $10, and then one in the $10 to $15 range. Had some great success with it on paper using 3 units on the 1-5, 2 units 5-10, and 1 unit 10-15. Made about fifteen units on the random races I was watching on and off during the day, the best part was that the way I choose each horse, wait for it..........................................by its name lol.
Wow, it seems the girlfriends method of choosing horses was the right way all along |
