No doubt the TAB account will get a bit of use tomorrow as I travel up the Hume. Aah, the mobile phone, a wonderful thing.

This is a nice little betting race, sort of Metrop type field, nothing outstanding, just an even field of average horses.

Dash for Cash
Southern Crown

It looks as though Prince Hal and Southern Crown have both been aimed for this and Dash for Cash is the class of the race.

Dash for Cash $2.60
Beaver $5.20
Pentastic $8.60

Will Dash run this distance out? In the Caulfied Cup, he had 1 2000m run under his belt in prep for that race. That was it. For todays race, over his last 3 starts he's raced over 2000m, 2400m, 2000m. A much better preparation for this race. This a a much easier race than the Cup as well.

What I can't overlook is in both of his 2000m runs, he's been hitting the line and both times he's produced his best ever rating - 71.5 both times. I've assessed him on that 2000m form.

Looking at the horses in the race you wouldn't give a second thought to this being a WFA race , but it is.

I think Dash For Cash is well in at the weights even though only 1kg down from the topweights , compared to horses like Prince Hal and Southern Crown who have only been carrying 51kg or 52kg in the past and now have to carry 58kg over 2400m in a G2 race!!!

For this reason i also think Hill Of Grace can run a mighty race , seems to building up to this and wouldn't be surprised if it was actually set for this race.
