Very consistent country performer, boasting excellent record over the 1600m. 8 - Jade Prince, another well weighted and well drawn. Should race handy to lead & be hard to hold out. 4 - Baghdad, has the pace to overcome a bad alley. Loves this track & has the Gai Waterhouse polish.

![]() Not much of a conga line Paddy!
Have to go with no. 2 This Manshood, very consistent of late and a strong winner last Saturday. Should sit just off the pace and finish the race off well. No. 5 Cheverney a good EW chance, but does race better with the sting out of the ground. No. 3 Evander has been thereabouts lately, not a flash strike rate but does meet likely favourite Baghdad 4.5kgs better for a 1.7 len beating over 1600m at Randwick recently. Value no. 9 Kaapgun if he can regain anything like his old form, could surprise at odds. |

![]() I really think (3) Evander will be terribly hard to beat.I think he is just starting to mature into a nice type which for some punters is a year or two too late.
The race has a few likely leaders which will definetely put pace in the race which will suit and of course has a nice weight pull over the other fancies plus has the J Hawkes/D Beadman combination. (2) - This Manshood is racing in great style of late and with alley 4 should be just of the pace and should get a nice cart into the race at the bend and is of course a last start winner within 7 days (Which i'm sure Ian Craig will mention endlessly). (1) - Arlington Road would have been top pick except for the bad gate of 13 , i think he has to go forward to win and with the likely speed in the race and the bad gate will make it terribly hard to beat Evander and This Manshood home. Can't leave out (4) Baghdad either for obvious reasons. |

![]() Solid Mandala, Paddy? What do you know that we don’t know? Way up in class and but you should at least get juicy odds. Best of Irish!
My top selection is 8 JADE PRINCE. Is nicely weighted and well drawn. Will be up on the pace & should run out a strong 1600m. Next best has to be 3 EVANDER. Not beaten far in top races this preparation. Must be frustrating for connections, always around the mark, just misses out on numerous occasions. Third choice 5 CHEVERNY. Also well weighted and well drawn. Like Jade Prince, should race on the pace and run out a strong 1600m. Value pick is 13 TERRIBLE TAURUS. I’ll be backing EW at likely very good odds. |

![]() This Manshood - racing in career best form, has good record over the distance, last four runs have been strong, and will thrive on a good track
Evander - nice run in the HKJC Plate, should be a big danger Baghdad - four wins from last five starts, including a win on this track last start, if not for the barrier would be my top pick, if gets luck will go very close Roughie - Kaapgun - hoping to get back to form in the Autumn..e/w Gatton R9 - Mougi looks a great chance, from French Movie Star Cheers, Cosmo [ This Message was edited by: Cosmo on 2002-12-05 14:34 ] |

![]() A rare occasion, we missed the tri / 1st 4 !
Couldn’t have HUGE DEMAND on recent form, obviously found his better form all of a sudden. In hindsight he is a bit of a track specialist & was well weighted. Winner tipped by BettyBoop, TESTAROSSA, Equine Investor & Cosmo.
