Default The Needles Thread

By way of introduction I should say that I have been betting for over 30 years now. I dont consider myself a gambler anymore but I did start out by gambling.

I will be posting some of my selections here over the coming weeks and as required I will disclose some of my selection method and encourage discussion.

My methods do not use traditional form study. I do use the form of a horse to validate my methods but they are not the bits that I use to make my selections. My selection method has as its core the work of Dr Geoffry Hutson and his behavioural handicapping methods. I have had a program written which analyses the video of a race and rates a horse on the traits shown during the race. By analysing the horses motion during the race it is possible to tell if the horse is phisiologically ready to race.

The first clue that I will give away is that I measure the difference in the horses stride length at 4 different points throughout the race. I do this by video now but I did start out doing this by eye and making notes in a chart. This informaiton has proven remarkably reliable in proving whether a horse is genuinely interested in racing or just running around because it has no choice. Remember these are horses and they dont know the difference between running in the Melbourne cup or a maiden at Murwillumbah. Anyone who says that a horse "has to run well to get into the cup" or "is primed to win this" has no clue to the reality of a horse.

To the moderator. These are my selections. I agree to abide by the terms that you have set down and will attempt to remain calm and civilised. I ask the others of this forum to agree to the same.
