Default Progressive staking with a handbrake?

Hey fellas

Been working on a new idea which looks prommissing...

So the idea is bet to win 100 profit on seln between $2.5-$10. Now the idea is bet to win 100 if seln looses bet to recover losses and win a 100 profit. but if you lose 300 stop and start again if you win the 100 start again with a good strike rate this seems to be showing a profit over one months testing...

Looking for any thoughts on the matter?

The saftey break is the important bit you have there .

I feel it could work more safley if one makes the min acceptable price $3.25
any lower & it starts getting really expensive.

I would go for 2 lots of $50 using your max loss of $300.

Try & keep in mind, that in punting , one strong month does not make a year , so tread accordingly.

Heres another staking plan you may like to have a play around with.

The idea is to go up in sequence in lots of three , then go back one set of three after each winner is struck.
Example.
111 (all lost)
222 (all lost)
333 (all lost)
444 All lost)
5 w
4w
3w
2L 2L 2w
1 ect.

Min price $3.25 accepted.
SR needed to make this work is 22%

Thanks fellas

Obviously one month is nothing in the scheme of things... Just to give a little more info the squence of bet is per race meet. Once you hit a winner for that meet. STOP.

It's based on good tracks only and I've only looked at Saturdays racing so far...

There has been 32 meetings for 108 bets and 25 winners and seven losing sequences. Which would equal+2500 and the losses equal 1526.

This is quite time consuming to run these tests so I can't give the POT because I've only work out exact stakes on the losing sequences.

Seln method is based on a very simple principle.

I'm going to run a few mor tests over a longer period and see how it performs..

PS. After writing this post I thought 108 bet 25 winners? Not bad ran the sums level stakes out=108 in= 114.8 highest div $9.4 lowest div= $2.5 longest run of outs 7 longest run of winners 2

PPS.. on another look it turns out with level stakes that i wouldnt have stopped on the losing meets. so the revised figures are as follows:

out = 129
in =114.8

so the handbrake either increases the pot or decreases the lot and improve the s/r.

figures with brake in place

32 meets @ max of 300 = 9600 (hypothetically)
seven losses at loss of 1526 (actual)
twenty five winners @ +2500
9600 = 10574
=110.14% ROI

Simple fact is, if the selections make level stakes POT, staking plans can work. If they don't, staking plans can work for a while, but eventually they fall into a big black hole (along with all your money), trust me, I have been there done that. All it takes is for one long run of outs and you'll never recover the losses.
