Favourites
Hello to All
I have read with interest many of the posts in this forum over the last 2 to 3 years and obviously there are many "dedicated punters" around. I have an interest in favouites win %, being that is an reasonablly easy set of statistics to follow and record, and am working on a "theory" and was wondering if anyone could provide me with some statistics going back 2 or more years. What I am looking for are some stats on Fav win % when compared with the number of starters in the race. My method of keeping records is pretty basic and time does not allow me to record the number of runners in each race. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Graham |

Try Online system builder (Google)
Its a free Aust. interactive data base site , so maybe make your price $3.00 & less ,then go through the various field sizes for the last 2 yrs. Another interactive data site is Adrian Massey (UK racing) (Google) Also free.

Malcolm Knowles of inracing would have exactly what you require in one of his little booklets.

My read on those figures is tht races with 8/9 to 13 starters are the ones worth looking at.
The returns are too small under 8 or 9 and the strike rate starts to suffer over 13. |
