![]() Mark off these horses (do not consider 2yo, 3yo races):
Top api Top win % Top four place % Set yourself a consistent time close to the jump, say 2 minutes and back the two from above with the longest prices (really a form of eachway betting). You may not make a fortune but you may not go broke either and you will have a lot of fun some days with some really good priced winners. My best was Jedi Starfighter at 200-1 last year. |

![]() Sorry, am I missing something here.
If one is targeting the Top API & Win ranking. How do yo end up with 2 Horses a race? Should that read... Target Top 2 in API Ranking Target Top 2 in Win Ranking. And Those 2 horses have to be both in top 4 in place ranking?

![]() You are actually betting on the two longest price starters from those marked off. My reasoning is that these marked horses are about as close to picking a winner as I can get from using form so I then opt for value. Mind you the value has declined in recent years compared to 5 to 15 years ago but some good priced winners still pop up regularly. I suggest not backing anything under $10.
