It remains to be seen - let's just appreciate them. So YouThink's finishing off drawing away as he did is reminiscent of Shergar who would absolutely gap them in the final two furlongs. Worth a look on Youtube. There's also fantastic news footage on there of Sea Biscuit and War Admiral's match race. Each generation has its own great champ. How can you not love this game?

Wow! Youtube is addictive. Another Aussie we should never forget is the great Crisp. To be run down by another champion, Red Rum, but conceding him 23lbs was just an out of this world performance. If you have a look at the race (1973 National) see if you can get him over the line. I've watched it a few times and tried to just urge him over - what the heck? He couldn't get there because he just gave everything he had and carried 12 stone (79 kg) to boot. Brave and noble horse.
