While in Hong Kong I was able to obtain race data in a flat file format. The file was just raw data and I had to pay a yearly subsciption fee.

Does anything similar exist here in Sydney.
I'm not after data that has ben manipulated and contains ratings. Just sonething like a form guide

Cyberhorse has a number of different form guide type products that you can download if you pay a subscription fee. You can have a look at http://www.cyberhorse.com.au and select "The Virtual Formguide". Unfortunately the data is generally in html format so if you want to load it into a database you will have to write a program to extract the data from the html.
