Default Punting at the Cup

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and to horse racing and really appreciate all of the information and tips that are posted. I was hoping to get some advice from the seasoned punters out there on how to approach punting at the Melbourne Cup. I'm lucky enough to be going to the great day.

Is there a right or wrong way to punt at such a big meeting? Do you go for each race? Go for the exotics for value or be conservative and stick with each ways?

Any tips or info would be much appreciated.

E/W bets with bookies are now generally 1/5th the place whereas before they were 1/4.
If your new to the punt download the FREE lucky88 tips for good selections and value.
And enjoy the day.
Cheers
