I have been running this program for about a week now checking it out but yesterday it decided to stop working :S

But when i run it for the next day it works but it has a problem when you run it for the next day in that the 3LSV 2LSV LSV columns are blank or only show figures for 1 or 2 runners and this has always been the case, its no good running it for the next day as those 3 columns are vital to the ratings.

I have Provided an attachment of the original Method_260 Auto excel program

When i run it for today's date it immediately comes up with Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range.

And shows this:

This sheet is what i based my sheet on but i made a lot of changes because i didn't understand a lot of the coding.

Would it have to do with the races already have resulted or this has been fine in the past.

It automatically leaves out resulted races or does not rate them so yer has never been a problem.

I'm guessing tatts.com has made a change to the site for the days racing?

Shaun any idea how Method_260 calculates the points for 3LSV 2LSV LSV columns?

If you go to the main sheet you can unhide all the columns to see how they do it all the figures are there.

This method has been around for about 5 to 10 years and was created well before they changed the site but was not automated back then Kennedy 20654 or what every his name was on here automated it but can't remember if that was before or after the site change.

I know he changed the form to The Tote because unitab restricted access to members only.

At one point i was going to re-create the ratings system using my methods of race extraction, i know the macros are not that advanced just things i haven't used before, if i get time i might try and understand it as i have learned a bit between this and now.

It may have been the number of races that put the system out maybe this needs to be changed, it may need this increased.

Shaun, its running fine today, so you think it could't handle the number of races on the last few days?

That's my guess, so you need to find where it decides about races and change it, might be something set at 8 i would say as a guess.

I will have to have a look at the ratings they use, i compared some of todays races with what mine produced and mine were more accurate, that's a good sign for me.

That last race in Hamilton they had.


BICKLEIGH VALE 4.93
LARCH 4.96
FLYING HUSSLER 5.55

I had
3 Larch 2.53
7 Flying Hussler 2.53
10 Via Dubai 5.85


This was close but the prices were way off, there have been other races worse than this.

Armidale 4 lowest price is 6.01 same selection order as mine but i have it rated 2.84

That's weird because it rated the 10 races at Bunbury on thursday, well it left race 1 blank as it already went.

Maybe its the total number of races for the whole day it struggles with?

I'll have a look.

I changed Global Races(1 To 100) As String to 200 so hopefully that will fix it because there was like 104 races on friday and like 176 both saturday and sunday lol.
