These selections provide varying but reasonable results, depending on the track and day of the week. (why it doesn't work on some tracks and days? I have no idea)
There is however a definite flaw with the method, that is that I don't take into account any other dog that may have a lot better chance in the race.
Perhaps leaving out races where there is an obvious winning chance, would improve the strike rate, but at the moment this is a work in progress and I don't know enough of greys to rate the race reliably.
