![]() I am trying to get some reliable strike rates for starts from a spell. I have found three references in this forum but there is no consistency in the data. I can't even find agreement in the first up strike rate.
I am aware that different horses come to hand at different rates etc, but I would just love to find some reasonably reliable average strike rates for different number of runs from a spell. I have been looking at this aspect for a while now and it shows some promise but my data is not extensive enough. (By the way, if you have nerves of steel try dls=7 and no more than 4 runs from a spell. |

![]() I feel that race distance should be <= about 2000m but then two years ago there was a winner at 200-1 in brisbane at a longer distance. This method has won well so far this year at br, sr, mr, ar saturday meetings but you can have runs of 50 or more outs and so is dependent on the longshots. I feel this is a fun method that is worth following with a dollar or two so one can have bragging rights when a good longshot comes up. The best this year has been $73. By the way, I feel there must be only one contender in a race.
I would still like some data on strike rates on starts from a spell. |
