Well quite a poor day yesterday, just seemed like one of those days where your horse seems to be ridden perfectly until the straight where its stuck on the fence with no where to go.

Airlie Bird - Should have won, blocked for run until 100m out and flew home for 3rd.

Gentle Genius - Can't explain run.

Homewrecker - Just can't find the winning post.

Frightening - Ran all over the shop down the straight after taking lead.

Summer Eyes - Looked to be doing nothing halfway down the straight then flew home for 4th.

Sheer Devotion - One of my blackbookers, was in the middle of a ruck rounding the turn then jockey got him going and he looked to be going stronger then any other horse then got stuck behind a wall of horses when jock pulled him up and stopped riding him to finish about 2nd or 3rd last, should be at big odds again next start.

St Vivant - Caught in traffic, when finally got out race was finished and got home well.

Indian Ridge - Poor run.

Testarossa,agree Airlie Bird should have won for us at good odds(again).Definitely not one of T.Jones best rides though,but may have been a victim of circumstances(or bad judgement!).This is a very good staying mare,and races best when smothered up on the fence behind the pace and saved for one last crack at them.I think she would be a chance in the Caulfield Cup this year,and intend to have an early nibble at big odds.
