Default What I've Learned from Todays Races

The Gai and Tom Waterhouse "show" costs punters dearly. It's a marketing exercise that allows you to get better odds on the "fair dinkum" horses.

A horse is not like a greyhound, if it draws the inside but is slow early, the draw doesn't help.

Class really does matter, and / or "Following a Good / Top Horse" may be the way to go ..... who'd have thought you'd get 12's about Dunaden almost this time last year, and it would have been easy to have had Streama in your "Stable" or have backed it on class alone.

Please forward cash only in un-marked bills ........

Nice observation. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Went with Streama in the tipping comp, $12 was just nuts with Bowman offsetting the bad barrier

& speaking of class, one C.Williams springs to mind

Just lay the favs in the group one races and Bob's your uncle.

Also don't back any of Gai's horses in Melbourne and Fanny's yer Granny!

Simple in hindsight I suppose.

Might be a waste of time but in relation to good horses coming from NZ, it seems the time to 'get on' them is their first run ?!

Don't back Sydney horses first up in Mwelbourne, and yes I know one did salute yesterday but didn't it run all over the place ?? Further to this theme, there was a comment by the woman who's at the starting gates looking over the horses, and also interviews the jocks after the race ..... she said, and referring to a Sydney horse "It's looking for the stalls to the right of it, and cannot get used to this way atround" ..... not quite verbatum, but an astounding observation, and one I'd not heard of before. Horse owners, and regular attendees would probs know this but I don't. A further reason NOT to back Sydney horses in Melb, esp first up here.

I'll end up eliminating entire fields if I keep this up !! lol
