Hi
Writing about books the name Rem Plante came back into my head. His 1969 book Australian Horse Racing and Punters' Guide is a classic. This was before Scott's first book was published. In 1977 Scott William's book Can Punting Pay did a profit analysis of Plante's method and it was still profitable. I know Plante published a weekly called "Handicapper's Weight Chart". What ever happened to Mr Plante? Laurence |

Hi Laurence!
If you go to http://www.trb.com.au you will see that Mr. Plante's son now runs the show. Ken |

Lawrence, Rem Plante passed away several years ago and his ratings were now done by Marcel Plante, but I have not heard about them for years. An old friend of mine rang Rem Plante on a weekly basis about 35 years ago and said he was an absolute genius. |

Hi Laurence
Rem's son Marcel is indeed a partner of TRB (formed from the business originally started by Rem.) The weight rating charts are still published weekly for clients...many of them have been subscribers for 10+ years. The Form Line ratings are now contained within TRB's GTSi software program, which you can get details from their site. |
