Hi, Sportznut.

The "under 8 runners" selections have caught up with the system, and I shall now omit those races. Yesterday, Gosford R6 no. 2 fell into that category.

Today's selections are:

Flemington R5 no. 1 - Careyes
Dombeen R8 no. 2 - Yukon Pride.
Canberra R8 no. 2 - Can He Sing.
Ararat R4 no. 4 - Flaming Jet

The "almost qualifiers" are:

Flemington R1 no. 3 - Tuscanna.
Flemington R9 no. 9 - Reveal Smytzer.
Grafton R2 no. 4 - Punjab Lad.
Ararat R7 no. 7 - Mangina Man

I'm also testing another system for metropolitan tracks as mentioned on a previous posting. If anyone is interested the selections today are:

Flemington R5 no. 1 - Careyes.
Flemington R7 no. 1 - Highclere.

You watch 'em start winning now!!!

Michael, I think your system is looking pretty good, and those selections seem to have a great chance today.

Hi, Sportznut.

One race so far, but it lost. I spent almost half-an-hour this a.m. checking, double and triple-checking the system because yesterday I made another mistake. The Geraldton selection was not a real selection - it lost, but I've got to wear it in the stats.

And you are right about the "under eight races". There were two qualifiers today - Ararat R3 nos. 3 and 5. No. 3 won. Apart from the poor divvies it seems that in small fields, jockeys can often ride real shockers.

Well, you didn't really miss much with Ararat R3. The original reason that I left out races with less than 8 runners was because I used to always bet each-way and of course that's not a great idea without three place divs. However, I've found over the years that even betting win only, small fields are often unpredictable and when you do get winners they're usually not good value.

As for wearing that loser in the stats, that's not right. You wear it in the wallet allright, but you can take it out of the stats. After all, it was an honest mistake.
