![]() Hi, Shaun. My selections agree with yours except a couple are not in the outright three top faves, and I'll also show those of fields of more than 12 starters.
Yesterday there were seven 4-Pointer selections. An omission was pointed out to me by Shaun and I included it in a subsequent posting on the same thread about an hour before the race. I had my normal $0.50 each-way bet on it. All seven selections placed, including 2 winners. The Win bet (NSW TAB) suffered a loss of $0.10, while Place betting showed a profit of $2.00. The 3 Pointers lost $2.90 on the win bet, but won $0.70 on the place bet. Today's 4-Pointer selections are: Ipswich R7 no. 1 - Castle Claire Nowra R6 no. 11 - Danwood Echuca R1 no. 8 - Maqizan Echuca R3 no. 3 - Emitella Echuca R6 no. 5 - Fragilistic B'clava R2 no. 5 - Waterhole B'clava R3 no. 6 - Ownership (14 starters) B'clava R4 no. 2 - Imbruglia B'clava R8 no. 15 - Free Friday (13) G'dah R3 no. 1 - Carnegie Rhythm (13) G'dah R4 no. 14 - Sweet Trouble (14) 3-Pointers Nowra R3 no. 10 - Zee And Me Nowra R4 no. 4 - Champony Echuca R8 no. 7 - Mr Parry. One one selection today in my Place system: G'dah R no. 1 - Purse Strings. |

![]() Congrats on the system, Michael. Seems to be doing very well for the place. Now where's my copy of Testarossa's all up system....
Just a suggestion, why not give your divs as $1.00 bets. That seems to be the standard on the forums. Makes it easier to compare --- and it doesn't realy matter what is placed on the horse in actual fact. |

![]() Hi, Merriguy.
With the 4-point system there have been two losers from five races so far, but only $0.50 in arrears on the NSW TAB. Still another 6 races to go though. With the 3-point system there has been one loser from 2 bets with only one more to go. My only Place selection for today has just placed - $1.30. I am recording everything on the basis of $1.00 each-way bets and will post them next Wednesday (a seven day period)if the system doesn't crash in the meantime. It's just that I am over-cautious with new systems and will only test them with the minumum bet. |

![]() A terrible day today - maybe reality is catching up with the system. However, if we seperate the last start place-getters from the non place-getters the results are:
Last Start Placegetters. Wednesday - 3 selections for 3 placegetters including two winners. $4.70 return on the win and $4.30 on the place. Thurs - 5 selections for 5 placegetters including one winner. $3.20 return on the win and $6.30 on the place Fri - 3 selections for 3 placegetters including one winner. $4.60 return for the win and $3.60 on the place. A total of 11 selections for 11 placings. Now for the 3-Pointers: Wed - unknown Thurs - 5 selections for 4 placegtters including two winners. $4.40 return for the win and $5.40 for the place. Friday - 1 selection for one win. $3.80 return for the win and $2.00 for the place. So both methods are showing a profit for both win and place betting. I realise I might be "doing a Nero" by fiddling while Rome burns, but the scant testing so far isn't too discouraging. Tomorrow I'll have two sections for the 3 and 4-Points system. The first for last start placegetters and, the second for non-placegetters. |

![]() Yeah, I think that's a very good idea, requiring a last start placing.

![]() A "terrible day", Michael!
Hardly - a small loss. That has to e expected with any system from time to time. That said, the last start placing seems to have merit. |
