No selections today. There is a 5-plus pointer but it is not rated at 100, so therefore it is not a system selection. It is Geelong R2 no.6 - Lend Me A Dime.

No selections for Tabcorp.

One selection for my system:
Pt Macquarie R6 no.4 - Extra Dollars.

Oh, the Slow track. Now I get it. I was wondering why Backstage Girl wasn't a selection.

Yes, it's not a a selection as the track is Slow. When the testing was done for rain-affected tracks, there were 3 and 4-pointers included which did not fare well even on non rain-affected tracks. So, time might prove 5-pointers on Slow or even Heavy tracks to be worthwhile. Maybe Unitab factors the state of the track in their ratings?

I was not aware it was a 5-pointer, because my newspaper, the Telegraph, does not list the pre-post prices for Mackay - so I ignored the venue. However, I will now keep records of 5-pointers of Slow and Heavy tracks. There was a 5-pointer on a Slow track a few weeks ago, and it was also a Maiden race - it won.

Michael,

I'm currently working on a few little systems concentrating on the Unitab ratings. I just need to do a bit more research to sort it all out but so far they look pretty good.
