Interesting race with almost half the field haven previously raced in the 2003 Melbourne Cup.

Not sure if this has happened before.

MAKYBE DIVA winner of last years Melbourne Cup with 2kg over limit. 5.5kg over limit in this. Ready to put in a big one.


GREY SONG ready to fire following 3 runs since a spell. Ran 6th in last years MC with 2kg over limit, has 4.5kg over limit in this.


COUNTY TYRONE nosed out by Mummify on Sat after doing a lot of early work. Performed OK this distance in the past. Unplaced 2003 MC with 4kg over the limit. Carries 4.5kg over limit in this.


YAKAMA ran a even race to finish 8th in last years Melbourne Cup when on the limit. Has only 0.5kg over limit in this. Should be ready following 4 runs after a spell.


MUMMIFY brilliant 2003 Caulfield Cup winner & one time fav for the MC. Last 2 runs very good but likely to start too short for my liking.
