chasing info on your top weight and number 1 systems....
how does the field size affect the selections ?
and how is the nbr 1 system going using the fliters you posted a while back re only races of 1300m + and started less than 10 days ago???

if you or anyone else have been following these, would very much like to hear
thks pauls

Pauls,

I must admit I became disillusioned with the results of these two systems a while back and stopped using them all the time. That doesn't mean that they couldn't still work though and I do still back some of them from time to time. I'm not sure how the field size affects the situation. I know that some bigger priced winners came from large fields, but for a better strike rate, I would suggest that 8-12 could be a good field size to think about.

As for that rule about 1300m+ and last start less than 10 days ago, I really should have another look at that, because when I first tested it, the signs were VERY encouraging. Did anyone else look at that?

thks for your reply

yes,the figures were very very good back then...

limited selections over the period mentioned , but taken as stand alone win bets with doubles and triples, nice returns...
if only we could all get more $4.00 payers hitting 2 or 3 times in a row .

Pauls,

Having said that about the field size, I note that yesterday if you totally the ignored field size rule altogether, the topweight system actually had 4 bets at the 5 Metro venues for 2 wins (10.40 and 4.30). Interesting.

sportznut ..thks for your input

im going thru the form and waiting for the next nbr 1 qualifier that has started in the last 10 days and is in a 1300m + race ....still might be worthwhile following

just another question...
when you posted your nbr 1 system using the 1300+ and 10 days rule did you also apply that to the top weight system or outside barrier systems to see how they went????

No I didn't but it could be worth looking at. I do know however that a lot of the best winners from the topweight system were actually horses resuming from a spell so that rule would delete them.

By the way, as we said, the Outside barrier specials aren't really producing a lot of bets. So, if you want to have more action and still end up with some good chances, then feel free to revert to the original rules of the system which simply called for a pre-post fav ($3-$4) starting from the outside barrier. Yesterday, Tellem and Medowie Express both fulfilled that rule but just missed out on becoming specials.

Last race M'brook today --- Disaster Den No. 1, outside barrier, $19.00/$4.90

Not that I was on it, worse luck. But some nice news to bring up my 200th post
