Chrome, regarding average prizemoney, I know the strike rates and lot on average prizemoney per race start, I was wondering if you could check out the average pm per placed run angle
that is to say the strike rate for the top ranked runner for pm per placed start as against per race start if you know what I mean.
Thanks from the doctor.

Leave it with me and I'll get back to you soon, as it will require a little spreadsheet work.
I'm keen to do it though for my own purposes as well.

Cheers.

RANK S/R P/LOT
1 10.63% -25.26%
2 12.90% -19.24%
3 11.37% -20.04%
4 11.32% -20.27%
5 10.49% -24.46%
6 10.09% -17.75%
7 8.46% -19.82%
8 8.45% -18.09%
9 7.99% -22.56%
10 6.01% -26.62%

Just did 5,515 metro races so you get the picture.
Only went as far as ranked 10th, as I didn't see much point in spending the time going any further.
I divided the career prizemoney by the number of placings (which of course includes wins).

Hope this helps.

(not sure how you arrived at your loss figures Bhagwan) :???:

Thanks for the feedback guys. The strike rates and LOT seem to be slightly worse than for the coresponding figures I have for the straight average per start. I was sure that they would be better seeing they were for runs in which the horse was competitive. I thought that if I could rule out the runs that were unsuitable for the horse the results would be better. Ah well back to the drawing board.

P.S Sorry I took so long to reply, I've been having I S P problems and had to change my provider. Why is it that when companys get taken over things start to go wrong?
