Hi everybody, just new to these forums but think they're great.
Just thought i'd start a new forum on lucky stories. We all love 'em coz we know how hard this caper is.
This year I had the best luck of my life.
I was in a tote in melb and flicking through the odds for round 1 AFL. I saw a new bet type, total match score and was interested in what it was all about.
It basically entailed that you had to get the total score for the match within brackets ie

150 0r less
151-160
161-170
up to 220 or more.

Simple enough. but imagine my shock and excitement when the thieves at TAB SPORTSBET (they have a monopoly and always give unders)had posted instead of 150 points or less at 150 points or more by mistake. At very very juicy odds might I add. Myself and friends were able to take bets to collect about $8000 before the sydtem must have bugged.Thankfully, the game went well above the required 150+ and it was Crownies all round!!

I was lucky enoughto getr $13, which would have been a fair price for 150 points or less but was very juicy for 150+. I just wish I could have got more on!!

Well if you spend much time in St.Kilda these days, you need to like it a bit each way,so I put something on the Kangaroos as insurance.
Mug Punta.Looks like you don't mind putting your money where your mouth is.
Which game was it that gave you the big win?

He's lucky it wasn't the Adelaide/Kangaroos game from a couple of weeks ago. They never looked like getting anywhere near 150 points!!!

Gday all. it was actually rd 1 geel vs st.kilda at the telstra dome. All of the games played there are bet in this way by Sportsbet, but, alas they have never made the same mistake twice

it was a true once in a lifetime oppoprtunity because the next day they fixed the markets as they should have read ie 150 or less at $13. The true price, so I had a small saver and was in the lovely position of having 2 $13 dividends in a 2 horse race. As I said I just wish i could have got more on.
